Experienced Community Advocate and Business Leader to Advance Chamber’s Mission Across Nassau County
GARDEN CITY, NY — The Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (LIAACC), New York State’s largest African American Chamber of Commerce, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ann Dumay as its new Nassau County Director.
In this leadership role, Dumay will serve as the Chamber’s chief representative throughout Nassau County, working closely with business owners, entrepreneurs, community organizations, elected officials, and corporate partners to expand economic opportunities and strengthen the small business ecosystem.

Founded in 2010, the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce has become a leading voice for African American and minority-owned businesses throughout Long Island and beyond. Over the past fifteen years, the Chamber has provided technical assistance, business counseling, networking opportunities, advocacy, educational programming, and access to capital resources to more than 1,500 businesses.
As Nassau County Director, Dumay will help lead the Chamber’s local outreach efforts and support the implementation of many of its signature programs and initiatives, including:
- National Small Business Week Programs
- Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week and MED Month Activities
- The Annual Black History Month Business and Community Recognition Program
- Ladies of LIAACC “Women Who Shine” Awards Program
- The Who’s Who One Night Only Awards Gala
- Small Business Bootcamps and Entrepreneurship Training Programs
- Chamber Leadership Development Conferences
- Corporate and Government Procurement Readiness Programs
- Access to Capital Workshops and Business Resource Fairs
Under Dumay’s leadership, the Chamber plans to strengthen its presence throughout Nassau County by increasing membership, developing strategic partnerships, supporting business retention and growth efforts, and connecting entrepreneurs with critical resources needed to scale and succeed.

The Chamber has been recognized for groundbreaking initiatives that have helped elevate minority-owned businesses across the region, including hosting the first Regional Chamber Leadership Development Conference, launching numerous business education and procurement readiness programs, facilitating access to millions of dollars in business resources and opportunities, and creating partnerships with major corporations, government agencies, and financial institutions.
