NEW YORK, NY — August 14, 2026 — A new voice for minority-owned businesses is emerging in New York City.
The New York City Minority Small Business Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (NYCMSBCC) will officially host its highly anticipated Soft Launch on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, bringing together entrepreneurs, small business owners, corporate leaders, community advocates, elected officials, and economic development stakeholders for an evening focused on economic empowerment, business growth, advocacy, networking and opportunity.
The event will take place at Fogo de Chão in Elmhurst, Queens, and organizers are encouraging minority entrepreneurs and supporters from throughout New York City to attend and become part of the beginning of this important new business organization.

A New Voice for NYC’s Minority Business Community
The formation of the New York City Minority Small Business Chamber of Commerce comes at a critical time for minority entrepreneurs seeking greater access to capital, contracts, resources, strategic relationships and opportunities to scale their businesses.
The NYCMSBCC is being established to help create a stronger ecosystem for minority-owned small businesses throughout the five boroughs while providing a platform where entrepreneurs can connect, collaborate and advocate for economic opportunity.
Phil Andrews, President of the New York City Minority Small Business Chamber of Commerce, Inc., brings extensive experience in minority business development and chamber leadership to the new organization. As President of the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc., Andrews has spent years advocating for minority-owned businesses and developing programs designed to help entrepreneurs grow and succeed.
The NYCMSBCC has also joined the United States Black Chambers, Inc. (USBC), strengthening its connection to a broader national network dedicated to advancing Black business and entrepreneurship.
