Phil Andrews – President of New York States largest African American Chamber of Commerce and Founding President of the African American Small Business Foundation

In 2021 the African American Small Business Foundation, Inc. was established to support the programs and activities of the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. The foundation is a 501(3) tax exempt non profit organization.

In addition to this interview Mr. Andrews was named to Long Island Business New 2021 list of Top Powerful Long Islanders in a special edition of LIBN and Inducted into Long Island Business News 2021 Class of Hall of fame immortalizing the work he has done on long Island by placing a permanent plaque at the Zarb Business School in his honor.

Aboout: Phil Andrews – Phil Andrews is the current President of the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. NY State’s largest African American Chamber. He is the Past President of the 100 Black Men of Long Island, Inc. and President-Emeritus of the Black Public Relations Society-New York Inc. (BPRS-NY) which is New York’s Premier organization for Image Makers and Strategists in Public Relations. Phil has received many proclamations from notable political officials including offices from New York State Assembly, Nassau and Suffolk County Executives, Long Island Mayors, Senators, NYC Elected Officials and a variety of other elected offices.

Phil’s work has been featured in multi-platform publications including Long Island Business News, Black Star News, The New York Beacon, Amsterdam News, Minority Business Review, The Network Journal and more. He has appeared on WABC Here and Now and NBC’s Positively Black. He’s also featured in “15 Years of Minority Business Development” a book published by Mr. Robert Adams.  Phil is listed in Who’s Who in Black America and the International Who’s Who.  He has been named to City and State Magazine Top Power List on Long Island on two separate occasions. Long Island Business News named Mr. Andrews as on of the Top Power Longislanders for 2021.  In 2019 the New York District Office of the United States Small Business Administration named Mr. Andrews as the 2019 Small Business Champion for 14 counties in Downstate, New York which include New York City, Long Island and the downstate counties of Duchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Interfaith Nutrition Network, and was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Long Island Association.
