Garden City, NY — The African American Small Business Foundation, Inc. proudly announces its upcoming fundraising and community celebration,Ten Toes Down for “Homegrown Heroes” on Long Island, to be held at 1 South Avenue, Garden City, NY. The event will bring together small business owners, community leaders, advocates, and supporters to honor and uplift the entrepreneurs and changemakers who are driving economic growth across Long Island. The event will be held in partnership with the 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc. and the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc.

Scheduled for March 14th, 2026 Ten Toes Down for “Homegrown Heroes” on Long Island supports the Foundation’s mission to expand economic opportunity, provide business education, and strengthen minority-owned small businesses throughout Long Island, New York City, and surrounding communities.

All proceeds allow us to directly support the arts industry other programs such as business development training, technical assistance, access to capital, and long-term sustainability for underserved entrepreneurs.

Attendees may attend and support the Foundation’s event through several giving levels, including:

- Champion – $50
- Benefactor – $75
- Visionary – $100
Ten Toes Down for “Homegrown Heroes of Long Island is about recognizing the power of local leadership and investing in the entrepreneurs who are building businesses from the ground up,” said Rose Ward. “When we support small businesses, we strengthen families, communities, and the regional economy. This event allows us to celebrate our heroes while expanding the resources needed to help more businesses grow and thrive.”
