New York, New York – Global Prostate Cancer Awareness Advocate Kevin Byrd Set to be featured on One Times Square Illumination Board for four-night run during the month of January 2025
About: Kevin Byrd — Kevin Byrd is the President/Founder of the BrownByrd Foundation, and is the most awarded Prostate Cancer Awareness Advocate Worldwide. He has served with distinction as the Chairman of Health for prominent organizations such as a local chapter of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. and the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce New York State’s largest African American Chamber. Kevin Byrd is the 1st living African American Male to be honored with a statue unveiling his life work for his efforts as a Global Advocate bringing awareness about Prostate Cancer around the world and fighting to make a significant difference around the world.
His efforts have led a large number of individuals to participate in early testing and detection. This year marks the 12th consecutive year that the Niagara Falls has been lit blue in the honor of the BrownByrd Foundation’s work totaling over a decade as of 2024.
In 2023 The Marquis Who’s Who Publication Board Certified Kevin E. Byrd, BA Approval and Induction of his Biographical Record in Who’s Who in America. Kevin Byrd recent certification and induction of his biographical record is the cumulative result his decades long work as a prostate cancer awareness advocate throughout America and around the globe. In total, he has been honored by over 100 Mayors and government officials across the country and has received over 100 proclamation awards. In his hometown of Utica, October 1, is designated as Kevin Byrd Day in honor of his tireless work. Kevin Byrd has Awarded a Citation from New York State Senator Kevin Parker office commending the work being done at the foundation.
In addition to his induction of his life’s body of work in the Oneida County History Center his work has been acknowledged by prominent leaders around the world. Artifacts include aspects of his early years, citations, proclamations, acting career, family life, media chronicling his journey and global advocacy promoting prostate cancer awareness, early detection, and screening, etc.
Visiting times square during this special Illumination highlighting the work that Kevin Byrd and the foundation has been doing for nearly 40 years will be special for the 50 million tourists and Americans this year visiting times square on these dates January 27th to January 30th, 2025 each night for four consecutive days at 9:00 pm.
The celebration that marks the agenda of this place is the New Year’s celebration since for more than a century. It is only fitting that the global advocacy work that Kevin Byrd has being doing for multiple decades be Illuminated in 2025 pay tribute to long and lengthy service in the areas of advocating for prostate cancer awareness, early screening and detection.
