Med Week Fueling Growth in Downstate, New York

New York, New York – Minority Enterprise Development Week in New York State was held on Long Island October 10th, and 11th, 2023.  On October 10th, 2023 the inaugural event for this year’s MED WEEK was held at the Town of Hempstead Pavilion. Minority Enterprise Development Week (MED WEEK) offers a venue for minority-owned firms to access information, tools, and resources to grow their businesses both domestically and internationally through networking events, workshops, and issue forums. 

On October 11th, 2023 the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc., African American Small Business Foundation, Inc., and the 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc. in partnership with Lorraine Gregory Communication hosted a “Salute to Black” at its studio on Long Island.

Every year at MED WEEK we want to give minority entrepreneurs access to information, tools and resources to grow their business,” Phil Andrews  Due to increased interest in MED WEEK activities, we are requesting future attendees to request to be added to our email list as we anticipate increased participation in 2024 as our annual MED WEEK haves gained substantial momentum in New York, State.  

The ultimate goal of MED WEEK is expanding its programs and activities throughout the month by the year 2026.  (MED WEEK) offers a venue for minority-owned firms to access information, tools, and resources to grow their businesses both domestically and internationally through networking events, workshops, and issue forums.  The events that compose MED Week are meant to raise awareness among minority business owners, and the larger business community and support these businesses in their efforts to grow to scale.
